Results of Marine Recruiting Agency's activities in the 1st quarter of 2016

In January-March of 2016 LLC “Marine Recruiting Agency” (MRA) prepared 293 specialists of sea, road constriction and warehouse professions. 147 people completed specialized professional development programmes and retraining courses, 146 graduates received new professions. 

The most in-demand among students turned to be the profession of “crane operator” – it was chosen by 58 people which is by 61% more than within the same period of 2015. Three of them received this profession as a new one, 12 people increased their qualification categories, 43 – were professionally retrained: 16 people were retrained as “Crane operators of rubber-tyred mobile boom-type cranes (Liebherr type), 27 – as “Crane operators of rubber-tyred container travelling gantry cranes” (RTG type).

Within the reporting period 28 people (by 57% more than during the last year) were trained as “mooring master”. 16 studied distantly, 12 – visited training center of Marine Recruiting Agency

In order to prepare port specialists MRA created training center equipped by training simulators on which the students train skills required for their future work. For example, in modern class with simulators of crane operations future crane operators practice optimal trajectories of safe movement of cargoes, efficient methods for reloading of containers and movements of cargoes in containers of various types. 

LLC “Marine Recruiting Agency” – recruiting company representing interests of transport logistic, construction and other companies of North-Western region in sphere of recruiting, training and provision of temporary personnel. SRA was established in 2001 and is a subsidiary company of OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”.

Since January 01, 2016 the company has been accredited by Federal Service on Labour and Employment for performing the activities related to provision of personnel. 

Agency has its own Training Centre with own technical infrastructure. Its functions are primary training, re-qualification and advanced training on the basis of various educational programmes.

OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (included in UCL Port – stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) – is the largest operator, rendering services on handling of all types of dry cargoes in the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg.  It operates by modern multipurpose specialized terminals for handling of general and bulk cargoes and specialized terminals for ro-ro cargoes.
