Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg down 8% to 11.91 mln t in QI’2016
In January-March 2016, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 11.91 mln t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 29% to 1.94 mln t, dry bulk cargo – by 11% to 1.73 mln t, general cargo – by 4% to 2.81 mln t including 371,200 t of metal scrap (-32%).
The port’s container throughput increased by 1.3% to 436,827 TEUs.
In 2015, the port handled 51.51 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.71 mln TEUs.
