In January-April 2016, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 15.73 mln t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 34% to 2.26 mln t, dry bulk cargo – by 11% to 2.25 mln t, general cargo – 1% to 3.92 mln t including 534,400 t of metal scrap (-26%).
The port’s container throughput increased by 1.7% to 585,238 TEUs.
In 2015, the port handled 51.51 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.71 mln TEUs.
