Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg allocations for its social programme totaled RUB 4.86 mln in QI’2016

In the 1st quarter of 2016 OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SP SPb) transferred 4.86 mln Rubles for the implementation of social programme, says the Port's PR Department.

Main part of the funds – 3.33 mln Rubles were transferred by the company for support of employees and their families. SP SPb reimbursed expenses of the employees for medical services, recreation, resort treatment and sport. The company also rendered financial assistance to single mothers working in the port, employees with many children and to employees who turned to be in difficult life situations. 

Besides SP SPb made payments to veterans on the eve of anniversaries and jubilees. Employees who were awarded the rank “Port Veteran” received additional bonuses during their retirement. 

1.23 mln Rubles were transferred for training of the personnel. Within three months of 2016 75 employees of SP SPb participated in such training programmes which exceeds by 53% the same figures of the previous year. 

0.3 mln Rubles were transferred to Saint-Petersburg orphanage Nr. 10 for renovation of bedrooms and play premises.

OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (included in UCL Port – stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) – is the largest operator, rendering services on handling of all types of dry cargoes in the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg.  It operates by modern multipurpose specialized terminals for handling of general and bulk cargoes and specialized terminals for ro-ro cargoes. In 2015 the turnover of the company amounted to 7.9 mln tons.
