122 permissions for navigation in NSR waters issued this year

122 permissions for navigation through the Northern Sea Route have been issued this year by May 17, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Aleksandr Poshivai, Deputy Head of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot), as saying at the joint meeting of RF Government’s Marine Board and the Presidium of the State Commission for Arctic Development (Arkhangelsk, May 24).

The number of permissions issued in 2015 amounted to 715 including 126 permissions for vessels flying the foreign flags. In 2014 - 631 permissions including 111 for foreign-flag vessels, told Aleksandr Poshivai.

He also reminded that cargo turnover on the Northern Sea Route in 2015 totaled 5,431,000 t.
