Throughput of Port Vanino OJSC up 33% to 2.9 mln t in Jan-May'16
In January-May 2016, Port Vanino OJSC handled over 2.9 mln t of cargo (+33% or 713,000 t, year-on-year), the Company's press center says.
Exports of dry bulk cargo totaled 1.8 mln t (+45%, year-on-year). Transshipment of metal products – 233,000 t (+19%).
Transshipment of cargoes carried by ferries climbed by 3.6%, year-on-year, to 201,000 t.
Transshipment of timber declined by 5% to 237,000 t.
Commercial Seaport Vanino (Port Vanino OJSC) is one of the largest stevedoring companies at the port of Vanino. Apart from multi-purpose berths it operates ferry, container and alumina terminals as well as PORT FLEET deployed for mooring operations, transportation of passengers and supply of ships with water.
