In 2016 the Russian Government allocated RUB 8,6 billion to improve transport infrastructure in the Crimea versus RUB 6,6 billion in 2015, a regional correspondent of PortNews reports citing a Russian official.
Nikolai Vodorezov, Deputy Presidential Envoy to the Crimea Federal District was speaking June 23 at the 3rd Crimean Transport Forum in Alushta.
Several large scale transport sector's projects are in full swing in the Crimea, the official said, among them the construction of transport passage through the Kerch Strait, development of Tavrida highway project, the overhaul and construction of new terminals at Simferopol International Airport.
"A coordinated and consistent work of public authorities, with the support of exporters and the business community will enable us fully implement the planned projects", Mr. Vodorezov was quoted as saying.
