Throughput of port Taganrog down 24.4% to 838,500 t in Jan-May'16
In January-May 2016, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 838,500 t of cargo (-24.4%, year-on-year), the port’s Harbour Master Service told IAA PortNews.
Transshipment of oil products fell by 46.1% to 230,900 t, coal – down 7.8% to 229,100 t, ferrous metal – down 12.5 times to 15,300 t. Transshipment of grain surged by 67.3% to 317,400 t.
In the reported period, exports fell by 16.3% to 569,900 t, imports – 3.3 times to 7,500 t, short sea traffic – by 34.9% to 260,400 t.
In January- May 2016, the port authorities registered 246 arrivals and 236 departures against 335 arrivals and 341 departures in January-May 2015.
