Graduation ceremony was held at the Institute of International Transport Management (Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping) on June 29, 2016, says the University’s press center.
Bachelor diplomas were given to graduates with specialization in Transport Process Technology, Water Transport Management and Hydrographic Support of Navigation, Economics.
The graduates were greeted by Deputy Head of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency Konstantin Stasyuk, who read a letter of congratulation from RF Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, and by Rector of Makarov University Sergei Baryshnikov.
Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping was set up through reorganization of two large industry-focused higher educational institutions - St.-Petersburg State University of Waterway Communications (SPSUWC) and Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (SMA) in the form of affiliation of the Academy to the University. The educational process complies with state educational standards and International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers.
