In its statement Hanjing Shipping Co. Ltd. notified its clients that as the company filed for court receivership and its vessels are turned away from all ports, ANL has decided to cease taking bookings or to load cargo on all Hanjin operated vessels worldwide, the shipping company said in a media release.
"This decision has been taken to ensure that in the event that Hanjin vessels are seized, our valued clients’ cargo is not caught up in any lengthy idling situation that could eventuate."
"ANL will offer clients alternative vessels for export cargo and our Customer Service Team will be in touch with all clients to discuss bookings that are currently in place."
"The vessel that is currently on the Australian Coast is the Hanjin California V0030 which is tentatively scheduled to berth in Sydney at 1800 tonight. We envisage that the import cargo will be discharged and made available as per the normal operational process and we will revert further on import availability of the containers," the Company said in its press release.
Hanjin Shipping Co. Ltd is South Korea's largest and one of the world’s top ten container carriers in terms of capacity.
