Cargo transportation by Ukraine’s water transport up 1.8% to 4.1 mln t in 8M’16

In January-August 2016, water transport of Ukraine carried 4.1 mln t of cargo (+1.8%, year-on-year), says State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

Cargo turnover decreased by 28.8% to 2,577.6 mln tonne-km.

The increase was registered in all transport sectors, except the railway transport (down 1.6% to 221.7 mln t).

All types of transport carried 398.6 mln t of cargo (+3.6%, year-on-year).
