Number of foreign cruise tourists at Russia’s sea and river transport to grow by 10-15% to 800,000 persons in 2016 (photo)

In 2016, the number of foreign cruise tourists at Russia’s sea and river transport is expected to grow by 10-15%, year-on-year, to 800,000 persons (300,000 river tourists and 500,000 sea tourists), Sergei Korneyev, deputy head of the Federal Tourism Agency, told IAA PortNews at the Water Tourism Forum.

The number of Russian tourists at inland water transport is expected at the level of 200,000 persons.

According to Sergei Korneyev, the demand for cruises shows a stable growth. The year of 2017 is also expected to see a 10-15 percent growth.
