Throughput of Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port up 2.8% Y-o-Y to 2.86 mln t in 2016

In January-December 2016, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port handled 2,864,400 t, which is 2.8% up, year-on-year, the stevedoring company says.

In the reporting period, transshipment general cargo totaled 1,095,200 t including 970,900 t of metal, 1,068,200 t of dry bulk cargo, 21,300 t of forest cargo, 225,500 t of liquid bulk cargo and 32,800 t of other cargo.

The port’s container throughput totaled 43,826 TEUs. 

Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2015, the port’s throughput totaled 2.781 mln t.
