Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports in Jan-Feb'17 is flat Y-o-Y at 19.84 mlnt

In January-February 2017, seaports of Ukraine handled 19.842 mln t of cargo, which is flat, year-on-year, press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 15.627 mln t (+ 4.8%), imports — 2.846 mln t (- 4.4%), transit – 1.291 mln t (-32.5%), inland traffic — 77,200 t (+ 58.3%).

Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 100,484 TEUs (+14.7%, year-on-year).

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 3.925 mln t (19.8% of total volume). Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled 15.917 mln t (80.2% of total volume) including 8.495 mln t handled via USPA berths (42.8% of total volume).
