The Swedish Dockworkers’ Union has issued notice of a new overtime ban commencing on March 13.
Labour dispute in the container terminal run by APM Terminals in the Port of Gothenburg.
The ban covers overtime, the recruitment of new employees and the use of contract staff during evenings and weekends. The ban will come into effect on March 13 at 4pm and is due to continue until midnight on April 30 unless the dispute can be resolved before then.
The Swedish National Mediation Office has presented a new proposal to the parties. A response must be submitted to the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise office in Gothenburg no later than 10am on Monday, March 13. The ban only applies to APM Terminals and not the other terminals at the Port of Gothenburg.
