Throughput of Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port in Jan-Feb'17 up 38% Y-o-Y to 618,000 t
In January-February 2017, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port handled 618,000 t, which is 38% up, year-on-year, the stevedoring company says.
In the reporting period, transshipment general cargo totaled 126,400 t (including 114,500 t of metal), 393,000 t of dry bulk cargo, 38,700 t of liquid bulk cargo, 4,100 t of other cargo and 1,900 t of timber.
The port’s container throughput totaled 5,609 TEUs.
Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2016, the port’s throughput totaled 2.864 mln t.
