Murmansk Region Governor Marina Kovtun took part in “Fishery in the Arctic" conference

Murmansk Region Governor Marina Kovtun took part in the 4 international conference “Fishery in the Arctic: modern challenges, international practices and prospects” on March 22, 2017. Press center of the Murmansk Region Government says the event focused on the state facilitation to the fleet modernization. Governor in her welcoming speech noted that fishing industry is ranked 4 in forming of regional GDP and plays a significant part in socio-economic development of the Murmansk region. In the margins of the conference a new cooperation agreement and plan for 2017 between Union of fishermen of the North, Association of coastal fisheries and fish farms of Murman and Norwegian fishermen's Association were signed.
