NDQ sets up in Maritime Logistic Zone in Zeebrugge

Transport company and logistic service provider NDQ has commenced construction works on new offices and warehouses in the Maritime Logistic Zone in Zeebrugge. NDQ, operational in Bruges since 2004, is an international trailer operator with an own fleet of 300 tautliners. Their focus lies on international transport between the continent (mostly BENELUX, DE, FR, CH, AT) and England, the company said in its press release.

A no-nonsense mentality and a hands-on approach has resulted in a strong growth both in profits, employers and fleet, together with important IT-investments. The current location at Bruges’ Tillegem bos has simply become too small for their business.

“Zeebrugge just seemed the obvious choice, since many of our trailers are shipped through the port of Zeebrugge. The various shipping liners offer connections to many ports in the United Kingdom, from South-England to Scotland.” – Nicolas Dehaemers, NDQ
NDQ needed a location that offered possibilities for expansion, that is connected by rail and connected to the hinterland via the A11 motorway.

In a first phase, NDQ will build 850 m² of office space and a logistic warehouse of 3,000 m². The company has taken an option on the adjacent terrains, to secure the possibility of growth in the future. Except for transport, NDQ also offers cross-docking and storage services for goods from the continent with destinations in the United Kingdom and vice versa. NDQ is developing new markets en forming alliances with colleagues in the port of Zeebrugge that serve Scandinavia or the Baltic region. The new NDQ headquarters will be ready by the end of 2017.
