In January-May 2017, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 999,400 t of cargo (+19.1%, year-on-year), the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain climbed by 7% - to 339,500 t, coal – by 23.4% to 282,700 t, ferrous metal – 5.1 times to 78,700 t while transshipment of oil products fell by 10.5% to 206,600 t.
Exports grew by 25.5% to 715,700 t, imports – 6.4 times to 48,000 t. Short-sea traffic dropped by 9.8% to 235,700 t.
In the 5-month period, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 290 arrivals and 278 departures versus 246 arrivals and 236 departures in January-May 2016.
