In January-May 2017, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 21.47 mln t of cargo (+7%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products was flat at 2.82 mln t, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 13% to 3.33 mln t, general cargo – up 4% to 5.24 mln t, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 56% to 423,500 t.
The port’s container throughput increased by 6.9% to 7.90 mln TEUs.
In 2016, the port handled 48.62 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.74 mln TEUs.
