Vympel Shipyard delivers third Grachonok-class boat of Project 21980 (photo)

On 14 July 2017, Vympel Shipyard (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region) signed the delivery certificate for the third anti-terror boat of Project 21980, says the shipyard.

The boat built for RF Ministry of Defence has successfully undergone the shipyard’s mooring and state trials.  

Basic characteristics of Project 21980 special-purpose boat: Displacement: 138.69 t; Dimensions: length – 31.04 m, beam – 7.40 m, draft – 1.86 m: Full speed: 23 knots; Operating range: 200 miles; Endurance: 5 days; Crew: 6.

Armament: Igla SAM system, 14.5-mm pedestal machine gun mount, DP-64 and DP-65 grenade launchers.

The boat currently located in Kronshtadt is being prepared for the Naval Parade which will be held in Saint-Petersburg on July 30. Then the boat will leave for Polyarny to join the Northern Fleet of RF Navy.
