Throughput of port Kavkaz up 21% to 23.22 mln t in 8M’17

In January-August 2017, port Kavkaz handled 23.224 mln t of cargo (+21%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 6.913 mln t of cargo (+25%, year-on-year).

Transshipment of oil cargo fell by 15% to 7.570 mln t, while transshipment of grain doubled to 9.039 mln t. Transshipment of oil products dropped by 16% to 7.266 mln t, LPG – by 37% to 80,000 t.

Exports from port Kavkaz grew by 95% to 598,000 t, imports – by 1% to 65,000 t, coastal trade cargo – by 18% to 15.452 mln t.

Passenger turnover declined by 4% to 4,226,405 passengers.

Bunker sales at the port dropped by 35% to 196,000 t. 

The number of calls climbed by 3% to 18,635 calls.
