It is scheduled that the newest icebreaker Ilya Muromets will leave Admiralty Shipyards in St. Petersburg to start the state test on October 4-7, says press center of RF Defence Ministry. Before the beginning, representatives of the Navy High Command will check the crew readiness for the test.
In course of state tests, all specifications and systems of the icebreaker Ilya Muromets are to be checked. In particular, it includes the operating of radio navigation and other radars, lifting gear, life support systems, propulsion systems, and anchor equipment.
Previously, on August 25, the icebreaker has finished the second stage of factory sea trails, which took place at the Gulf of Finland and waters of Baltiysk. The test schedule included helicopter taking off and landing drills on the icebreaker.
