A river cruise boats pier commissioned in Staraya Ladoga, Leningrad region
A pier for cruise vessels sailing on river itineraries was launched on November 2, 2017 in the village of Staraya Ladoga, Leningrad region, the regional governor and government press service reported.
The reliable pier with berthing dolphins for mooring river cruise vessels of all types, was built in three months. The cruise pier design enable to accommodate simultaneously several passenger ships with a capacity of up to 300 tourists.
The pier construction was performed under the supervision of the regional government. The project was implemented as part of the larger project on creation of national cultural and tourist sites on the basis of Staraya Ladoga and initiated by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
First river cruise ships will be able to moor at the Staraya Ladoga pier next year.
As the Leningrad Region government announced the next year 2018 the Year of Tourism, the Regional Transport Administration currently implements two investment projects for the construction and redevelopment of port and dock infrastructure in Vyborg and Lodeinopolsky districts.
The pier construction Staraya Ladoga is valued at nearly RUB 50 million. The Investor is KONT LLC.
