On 20 November 2017, Okskaya Sudoverf JSC (part of UCL Holding) signed a contract for construction of a series of six fresh fish trawlers of Project СРТР38М. According to the company, the ships will be built for Murmansk based Fishery Firm Variant (Variant JSC).
The contract price exceeds RUB 2 bln.
Vessels of Project СРТР38М are intended for bottom and variable-depth trawl fishing, primary processing of catch, transportation of cooled and refrigerated fish to ports.
Vessels of unrestricted navigation are designed for round-the-year operation in inland seas with an ability to operate in ice brush.

Key particulars: LOA – about 38.0 m; BOA – 9.0 m; main propulsion power – about 1,330 kW; power of auxiliary engine generator - 2х200 kW; speed – about 12.5 knots; hold capacity – about 340 cbm including cooled hold of about 280 cbm and refrigerated hold of about 60 cbm; gross tonnage - 300 t minimum.
