Port of Singapore throughput up 5.9% to 519.68 mln t in 10M’17
Cargo volumes handled at the Port of Singapore in January-October 2017 climbed by 5.9%, year-on-year, to 519.68 mln t, the Port Authority statistics show.
The volume of oil cargo climbed by 6% to 192.75 mln t, transshipment of dry bulk cargo was almost flat at 15.14 mln t.
The port’s container throughput climbed by 8.5% to 27.73 TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2016, container traffic at Port of Singapore reached 30.9 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 593.3 million tonnes.
