In September 2017, Terminale Intermodale Venezia S.p.A. (TIV) ordered a Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 Mobile Harbor Crane for its terminal in Marghera, the commercial port of Venice, the company said in its press release.
TIV, a joint venture of Mariner and Marinvest, is a leader in the intermodal handling of containerized cargo in the Adriatic region and already operates four Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes. These machines mainly handle containers, and so will the new Model 6 crane. It will be equipped with a twin-lift spreader providing a lifting capacity of up to 60 t under spreader.
The new crane is TIV’s second Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 Mobile Harbor Crane in the G HMK 6507 two-rope variant. It offers a maximum lifting capacity of 125 t and an outreach of up to 51 m. The order includes a customized package of spare parts.
