Warships of RF Navy’s Pacific Fleet leave Indonesia
The Pacific Fleet’s ship detachment composed of the major ASW ship Admiral Panteleyev and the large ship tanker Boris Butoma has completed an unofficial visit to Indonesia and left the port of Tanjung Priok in Northern Jakarta, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Also, the Russian ship Admiral Panteleyev was opened for residents and guests of the city. Everyone could learn about the routine life of Russian seamen.
In turn, bus excursions were organised for the Pacific Fleet seamen round the historical sites of the region.
After the Russian unit left the main naval base of Jakarta, the ships of the Pacific Fleet and Indonesian Navy carried out a joint exercise aimed at improving cooperation at sea. During the event, signal communications organisation and joint manoeuvring were practised.
