In January-November 2017, seaports of Ukraine handled 121 mln t of cargo, up 0.6%, year-on-year, says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
Transshipment of grew by 24.8% to 18.3 mln t including 5.3 mln t of coal (+55.5%, year-on-year) while exports declined by 0.4% to 90.5 mln t including almost 35 mln t of grain, 30.7 mln t of mining and metal product and 4.9 mln t of vegetable oil (+ 23.5%).
Transshipment of transit cargo grew by 10.7% to 10.8 mln t.
Container throughput climbed by 3.2% to 545,400 ТЕUs.
The following ports have shown the largest volumes of cargo handling: Yuzhny port – 38.7 mln t, Odessa – 21.9 mln t, Nikolayev – 21.3 mln t, Chernomorsk - 15.8 mln t.
