NIBULON says its Shipbuilding and Repair Yard is being prepared for testing new launching ways.
NIBULON specialists has constructed two launching ways of the slipway (No. 8 and No. 9) at NIBULON’s shipyard as part of the large-scale reconstruction. This will enable the shipbuilders to launch vessels of 100 m and will bring the shipyard to a new level.
To date, two carriages have already been installed. The specialists are setting up winches. The 6 kW cable has been laid from the transformer substation to the building controlling the transfer rails. Upon plating, the building will look like a real tug. In addition, cable from the control building to all the 9 winches has been laid. A control panel has been installed; adjustment works on the slipway control are being conducted.
The rails No. 9 and No.10 have been constructed. The reinforced concrete rail beams have been assembled and the covering for the slabs has been prepared. The works on improvement, namely laying of road plates, near the foundations of the newly built launching ways are completed.
NIBULON plans to build five more slipway rails, thereby enabling the shipyard to construct and launch vessels with a length of up to 140 m.
According to the statement, the reconstruction of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard brings it to a completely new level. Upon the reconstruction completion, NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard will be the most modern one in Ukraine and without a doubt one of the best shipyards in Europe.
