One of the strategic missile submarine cruisers of the Northern Fleet successfully carried out a set of tasks to counter the underwater enemy in the Barents Sea, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The cruiser in cooperation with a multipurpose nuclear-powered submarine worked out evasive tactics when chasing, evading simulated enemy’s attack with setting a false target, and also carried out a simulated torpedo firing to form an ice-hole.
Within the scheduled exercises, submariners work out cooperation, signal communications, tactics of using weapons in various situations. They also practised under-ice navigation, searching for the ice-hole and surfacing among ices, and a number of other special tasks.
