Commander of RF Navy’s Northern Fleet sums up winter training season
Today, the Northern Fleet main base – Severomorsk – hosted an extended meeting of the Fleet’s Military Council, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The Northern Fleet Commander Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov reviewed results of the Fleet’s combat and operational training, military discipline and other basic activities within the winter training period.
Admiral noted that all tasks assigned for the 2018 winter training period have been successfully fulfilled by the Northern Fleet.
The Commander also stated that "some SSBNs demonstrated excellent naval skills in the training period and successfully completed the assigned tasks." He also noted that the high combat training achievements were shown by the Kola Flotilla, the Northern Fleet’s Army Corps and the Air Forces and Air Defence Army.
