Throughput of port Kavkaz in 6M’18 up 24% Y-o-Y to 19.64 million tonnes
In January-June 2018, port Kavkaz handled 19,648 million tonnes of cargo (+24%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility increased by 30% to 6.404 million tonnes.
Transshipment of grain surged 2.9 times to 8.450 million tonnes, coal – up 73% to 700,000 tonnes, oil products – down 9% to 4.804 million tonnes, sulphur – down 4 times to 334,000 tonnes.
Exports from the port dropped by 46% to 313,000 tonnes, imports – grew 2.3 times to 113,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 25% to 12.679 million tonnes.
In the 6-month period, passenger traffic fell by 31% to 1,221,901 passengers.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz increased by 21% to 140,500 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz grew by 13% to 12,772 calls.
