Throughput of port Primorsk in 8M’18 fell by 11% Y-o-Y to 35.79 million tonnes

In January-August 2018, the port of Primorsk handled 35,791,400 tonnes of cargo, which is 11% down, year-on-year. According to the port authority, crude oil transshipment fell by 17% to 25,336,200 tonnes.

In the reporting period, transshipment of oil products grew by 8%, year-on-year, to 10,455,200 tonnes.

In 2017, the port handled 57.60 million tonnes, down 11% Y-o-Y.

Port Primorsk is Russia’s largest oil port in the Baltic Sea. It is the final stage of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS). The port is located in the Leningrad Region, on the eastern coast of the Bjyerkezund Strait (Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea).
