Container throughput of port Hong Kong (China) down 4.3% to 13.15 million TEUs in Jan-Aug’18
In January-August 2018, port Hong Kong (China) handled 13.15 million TEUs (-4.3%, year-on-year).
According to the port authority, the port’s largest terminal Kwai Tsing handled to 10.34 million TEUs (-4.2%), other terminals handled 2.82 million TEUs (-4.9%).
Port Hong Kong is one of the world’s largest ports. It is capable of handling 456,000 vessels per year. In 2017, the port’s container throughput hit 20.75 million TEUs.
