Throughput of port Kavkaz in 11M’18 grew by 13% Y-o-Y to 45.61 million tonnes

In January-November 2018, port Kavkaz handled 45.618 million tonnes of cargo (+13%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility increased by 26% to 16.807 million tonnes.

Transshipment of grain grew by 74% to 22.290 million tonnes, coal – 2.8 times to 1.462 million tonnes while transshipment of oil products declined by 1% to 11.511 million tonnes and transshipment of sulfur dropped 2.3 times to 1.424 million tonnes.

Exports from the port fell by 9% to 705,000 tonnes, imports grew by 35% to 139,000 tonnem short-sea traffic – by 6% to 27.561 million tonnes.

In the 11-months period, passenger traffic plunged 4 times to 1,403,405 passengers.

Bunker sales at port Kavkaz increased by 32% to 405,800 tonnes.

The number of calls to port Kavkaz fell by 20% to 21,690 calls.
