2nd Conference “Dangerous Goods: New Transportation Requirements” kicks off in Moscow

The 2nd Conference “Dangerous Goods: New Transportation Requirements” has kicked off in Moscow today, 12 March 2019. The event venue is the conference hall of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The conference is organized by the PortNews Media Group. The event General Sponsor is Maritime Cargo Bureau, a specialist in maritime safety in Russia.

The conference speakers will cover some specifics of the IMO IMDG Code application in Russia, the ADR contracts, the new IMO regulations on coal transport (IMSBC), as well as new requirements of amended IMSBC Code.

Strict compliance with international and Russian regulation of the DG transportation, including explosives, is a fundamental factor in the trouble-free operation of both maritime and related modes of transport. The Russian Federation successfully exercise control over DGs safe transportation, which meets the main provisions of international agreements in this field.

The conference participates will discuss some aspects of this system application in multimodal transportation of export and import dangerous goods, control and supervision of cargo operations with DGs, as well as the existing practice of DG transport.
