Rosatom will make it possible to perform dredging works in the Gulf of Ob in 2019, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Yury Tsvetkov, Deputy Minister of Transport – head of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency), as saying at the ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ 5th International Arctic Forum.
“Unfortunately, the 2019 budget does not foresee allocations for dredging works. Given the project efficiently managed by NOVATEK is moved forward with its completion expected in the end of 2022, excavating should be started this year. Our Rosatom colleagues have found a solution and they are reallocating RUB 4 billion from their programme to perform this work in 2019”, said the Minister.
As Yury Mikhov, General Director of Hydrographic Company, told IAA PortNews, that is about dredging for construction of the Utrenny terminal ordered by Hydrographic Company. As for repair dredging at the access canal to Sabetta port, it will be continued this year by FSUE Rosmorport.
‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ forum is a key platform for discussing current issues relating to the socioeconomic development of Arctic regions and for developing multi-level, multilateral mechanisms for joint discovery and effective exploitation of the Arctic’s rich natural resource potential.
