RF Government submits to State Duma bill on types of works to be performed exclusively by ships of Russian origin

The Government of the Russian Federation has submitted to the State Duma a bill on types of works that can be performed exclusively by ships of Russian origin. According to the Government’s statement, the draft law foresees that the Government is entitled to make the list of such works. 

The bill was considered and approved on 15 July 2019 at the meeting of RF Government Committee for Legislative Drafting Activities.

The proposed amendments will encourage shipping, leasing and shipbuilding companies, including foreign ones, award orders on shipbuilding and production of shipboard equipment to shipyards manufactures located in Russia.
