Neva-Metal seven-month throughput fell 3% to 1.8 million tonnes

Cargo volume handled at Neva-Metal JSC in January-July 2019 totaled nearly 1.8 million tonnes, which is 3% lower as compared with the same seven-month period of 2018, the stevedoring company told IAA PortNews.

Container throughput in the reporting period was about 44 000 TEUs.

Neva-Metal ZAO is part of a transport division of Severstal Russian Steel of Severstal Group. Neva-Metal specializes in handling of containerized and break bulk cargo delivered to its terminal based in the 3rd Cargo Area of Big Port St. Petersburg by sea, rail and road transport. In 2018, Neva-Metal cargo throughput was about 3.2 million tonnes.
