Sevastopol Sea Port to be subsidized with RUB 54 million by municipal government
At the meeting held on 23 August 2019, Sevastopol Government made a decision to provide a subsidy in the amount of RUB 54 million for normalization of Sevastopol Sea Port’s operations, says press center of the government.
“Those resources will be spent for financial support of the company’s current activities, covering of tax payments, signing of carrier’s liability insurance contract and repair of the rolling stock. The port’s accounts payable total RUB 79 million”, says Elimdar Akhtemov, Acting Director of the Economic Development Department.
Acting Vice-Governor Vladimir Bazarov said in his turn that Sevastopol Sea Port owes a considerable amount to resource-supplying organization. That has a detrimental impact on the federally owned plant Vympel which is located in the territory of the port and which encountered limited supplies of resources.
