The missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the Northern Fleet, being on cruise in the Mediterranean Sea, has made a call at the port of Algeria in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The visit of Russian sailors will last three days. The ship will be visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Arab Republic of Egypt and employees of the Russian embassy with families.
The Russian ship will also be open for excursions.
The missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov entered the Mediterranean on August 22. Military sailors visited Algeria, conducted a series of exercises. A number of business calls at the ports of the Mediterranean countries are planned.
On July 3, the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov left Severomorsk to take part in the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg. After the parade, its crew took part in Ocean Shield 2019 Navy training.
Since leaving the base, the ship has covered about 11,500 nautical miles.
