Tatarstan and Gazprom sign action plan for implementation of pilot project on using LNG powered ships
On 15 October 2019, Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Vitaly Markelov , Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, signed an action plan for implementation of a pilot project on using LNG powered ships on tourist routes in the Republic of Tatarstan. A ship to be driven by LNG is currently under construction at Zelenodolsk Shipyard named after A.M. Gorky, says press center of RT President.
The document was signed at the stand of Zelenodolsk Shipyard participating in the exhibition for innovative and import substituting technologies developed in Tatarstan for Gazprom divisions. The exhibition is underway at the Innopolis University.
The purpose of Vitaly Markelov’s visit is participation in a meeting on promising areas of cooperation between Gazprom and Tatarstan enterprises.
