Throughput of Chinese sea and river ports in 9M’2019 grew by 5.2% YoY to 10.3 billion tonnes

In January-September 2018, sea and river ports of China increased their cargo throughput by 5.2%, year-on-year, to 10. 3 billion tonnes, China’s National Bureau of Statistics said. In the reporting period, September throughput grew by 5.6%, year-on-year, to 1.2 billion tonnes.

Throughput of seaports in January-September grew by 3.6% to 6.85 billion tonnes.

In 2018, Chinese seaports handed 9.22 billion tonnes of cargo.
