Net profit of Novorossisk Shiprepair Yard (part of Novorossisk Sea Trade Port Holding OJSC) amounted in January-July 2006 to 6.35 million rubles after 21.347 million rubles of year-on-year net loss, the company’s report says according to kuban.info referring to Interfax-Yug. The Yard’s revenue grew in the first half-year by 0.1% to 279.127 million rubles, cost price of the services rendered decreased by 14.8% to 171.387 million rubles, gross profit amounted to 107.74 million rubles (38.9% growth), income before tax – 15.595 million rubles (against year-on-year result of 23.746 million rubles).
Novorossisk Shiprepair Yard OJSC is located at the territory of Novorossisk seaport. It has 2 railway branch lines and roads. The repair berths with a total length of 1,600 meters are equipped with gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 tons. The yard has capacity to take ships of up to 200,000 dwt, 300 meters in length. The yard also has 2 floating dry docks.
