State Duma passes the law intensifying responsibility for poaching
State Duma has passed new law on a third (last) reading at its today’s plenary meeting. The law is to intensify responsibility for poaching in the seas, RBC reports. Corresponding amendments are being introduced into the Code of RF on Administrative Violations. According to the law the fines for administrative violations related to unlawful fishing in internal waters and territorial seas are to be raised. Thus, the fines for extermination of rare and endangered animals and plants are to be increased by a factor of 5-12, while the fines for fishing violations are to be increased by a factor of 2-10.
