Major construction works will start on Russkij island in 2009. According to the report, the issue of construction materials delivery will be quite urgent hence the company proposed to build a temporary storage-and-distribution center on the basis of a container terminal designed by Russkaya Troika (berths 17-18 of Vladivostok Port). An additional railway branch is to be built to the terminal around the Shkota peninsular and the second entrance will be built for trains. It is to satisfy the demand for transshipment facilities needed at Russkij island.
