Latvia is likely to handle containers transiting Russia from East to West

Latvia has real prospects to become a region for handling and transshipment of containerized cargo transiting Russia from China, Korea and APR states westwards, RZD-Partner cites Georg Lansmanis, Advisor to Latvia’s Minister of Communications, as saying at TransBaltica-2008 Conference. According to Lansmanis, Latvia should not just "hope that Russian cargoes will not pass by" but develop logistics and transport infrastructure.
