In January-September, 2009 over 7.5 thousand vessels (- 31% as compared to the corresponding period of 2008) were executed in the Baltic customs (North-West unit) control points, informed press-service of SZTU with reference to Irina Lomova, press-secretary of the Baltic customs.
Over 1,300,000 physical bodies have passed state Russian boarder within the reporting period which is 3% more as compared to the corresponding period of 2008.
Over 130,000 cargo customs declarations were executed by the Baltic customs within the reporting period. Over 9% of all the declarations were executed in electronic form which is 4.8% more as compared to the corresponding period of 2008.
Over 20% of goods imported through the customs boarder was meet; 19% - fruits, about 8% - fish. The largest countries-importers are: China – 12%, the USA – 10%, Ecuador – 9%.
As for export, the greatest volume of goods transported through the boarder was oil and oil products (over 86%). Ferrous-metals stand second (over 8%), lumber – a bit less 3%. The Great Britain is the leader in terms of export - 42%, the Netherlands – 37%, the USA – 3%.
