Iran-Qatar Shipping Line to resume operation

Iran's Valfajr 8 Shipping Line will resume its operation in Qatar with the anchoring of its first ship in the Doha port on Sunday morning. "The first ship of Valfajr 8 shipping line which has just left (the port city of) Bushehr will arrive in the port city of Doha at 9 a.m. local time tomorrow morning," Iranian Ambassador to Doha Abdollah Sohrabi told FNA on Saturday.
He expressed the hope that the resumption of the shipping line's operation would turn into a model for friendship between the two countries.
He also thanked Iranian Deputy Roads and Transportation Minister Seyed Ataollah Sadr and the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) authorities as well as the Qatari Prince and Crown Prince for their cooperation with the Iranian embassy in the resumption of the shipping line's operation.
The company's first cargo ship which will anchor in Doha tomorrow has the capacity for transferring 300 passengers as well as a large volume of containers and cargo. It can also ferry the two countries' nationals and their cars across the Persian Gulf.
